Tax Manager

Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Tax Manager to join our office. In this role, you will prepare, supervise, and review tax returns for individuals and corporate entities, manage client relationships, provide strategic tax advice, and foster a collaborative culture of excellence in our tax department.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure the preparation and review of federal, state, and local tax returns for high-net-worth individuals and businesses (corporate, partnership, and S-corp).
Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize client tax positions and minimize liabilities.
Manage client engagements, including planning, budgeting, and execution of tax projects to ensure compliance and timely delivery.
Conduct tax research and drive understanding of tax laws to provide informed guidance to clients and internal teams.
Coordinate, educate, and mentor a group of tax associates and senior tax accountants, ensuring high-quality work and professional development.
Build and maintain strong client relationships, proactively identifying opportunities for additional services.
Collaborate with audit and advisory teams to provide comprehensive support to clients.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master’s in Taxation or related field preferred.
Certification: Enrolled Agent (EA) or CPA license is required.
Experience: Six to 10 years of tax experience in tax, demonstrable mastery of 1040 and 1041 preparation as well as proven ability to manage multiple clients and lead a team.
Skills:
Strong technical knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
Proficiency with tax software (L & H uses ProSystem fx), Microsoft Office Suite and competency with management software and remote work tools.
Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.
Superior attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment.
